Defamation is a statement that causes harm to the character of the person or organisation it concerns. Importantly, it can cause a business or individual to start legal proceedings. It can be often confused with libel and slander. In fact, these are both types of defamation and fall under the same category.

Harassment is unwanted behaviour related to a relevant protected characteristic that has the intention or effect of breaching a person’s dignity or producing a hostile, intimidating, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment for that person.
